BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - Boulder authorities are investigating the death of an inmate at the county jail who was serving a 90-day sentence for trespassing.

The Boulder Daily Camera reports Tuesday (https://goo.gl/EqpbxO ) that 42-year-old Robert Wade Matthews of Louisville was found unconscious and unresponsive at about 10:45 a.m. Sunday in his cell. He was pronounced dead at Boulder Community Health.

Matthews’ release date was Sept. 30.

The sheriff’s office and the county coroner are investigating how he died.
