FARGO, N.D. (AP) - The city of Fargo is taking over management of the Fargodome.

WDAY-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1Ffpj3y ) that the City Commission on Monday night voted to end its contract with Spectra by Comcast Spectacor. The city will assume management of the entertainment venue on Jan. 1.

The Fargo Dome Authority had recommended the move, saying it would give the city more flexibility.

The city owns the dome. Spectra has managed it for a dozen years.
