FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) - Federal court records in Florida show a woman used honey to help her swallow 54 pellets containing cocaine in a trick she learned from a television show.

On Monday 29-year-old Regis Walker of Pembroke Pines pleaded guilty to smuggling cocaine into the U.S. She faces a maximum 20 years in prison but will likely get less.

The South Florida Sun Sentinel reports (https://bit.ly/1LHfXSX) that Walker told federal agents she learned about using honey to make the pellets go down easy from the Netflix TV show “The Mule.” The drugs were detected by an X-ray after Walker’s May flight from Jamaica arrived in Fort Lauderdale.

Walker spent five days in a hospital to pass the pellets, which contained a little more than 12 ounces of cocaine.
