PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - The Rhode Island Department of Health has canceled two community meetings to discuss a new requirement that all middle school students in the state get the HPV vaccine, saying a video posted online contained threatening remarks.

State police say they have looked into the video and spoken to the person who posted it, and found nothing criminal.

Officials did not release a link to the video.

Health Department spokeswoman Christina Batastini says a department staffer noticed it on YouTube last week, and says it contained threatening remarks toward agency staff. Meetings in West Warwick and Middletown were canceled “out of an abundance of caution.”

State police Lt. Col. Kevin Barry says although concerning, the message did not warrant charges.

He did release the identity of the man who posted it.
