SAN DIEGO (AP) - Lifeguards searching for a missing swimmer off Ocean Beach in San Diego have found a body.

San Diego Fire-Rescue Department Lt. Andy Lerum tells the San Diego Union-Tribune (https://bit.ly/1KYFIvg ) that officials strongly believe the body found Monday night in the Sunset Cliffs area is 23-year-old Brian Wilson. But the body has yet to be officially identified by the coroner.

Wilson went into the water Sunday but Wilson didn’t come back, triggering a search by the Coast Guard and lifeguards using divers, boats, jet skis and a helicopter.

Rough rip currents forced the search to stop late Sunday but it was resumed for most of Monday until the discovery of the body.
