NEWTON, Iowa (AP) - A Belmond man has been charged in the stabbing of another man at a Newton vineyard.

The Des Moines Register (https://dmreg.co/1NUO642 ) reports Sloan Ziller was arrested early Sunday. According to the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office, officers responded to the Sugar Grove Vineyards and Gathering Place Saturday night and found a man who had been stabbed in the arm.

The victim was transported to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Ziller was later found and arrested. He has been charged with willful injury and assault with a weapon. It was not immediately clear if Ziller has an attorney.
