LOS ANGELES (AP) - Authorities say a man facing extradition to the United Kingdom to face questioning about child molestation allegations has shot himself at his Los Angeles home.

Laura Vegas of the U.S. Marshals Service tells the Los Angeles Times (https://lat.ms/1KpBIJO ) that agents found the body of Christopher Ling on Tuesday morning when they went to serve a warrant on the 56-year-old at his Sherman Oaks home.

Ling, who’s from Manchester, England, was wanted for questioning in his home country over allegations that he sexually assaulted as many as 10 girls when he taught at a music school in the 1980s.

The violin teacher worked at the Chetham School of Music in Manchester until 1990. He later moved to the U.S. and ran a talent agency.
