DOVER, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police have identified a man who was struck by several cars and killed in January while trying to cross Interstate 495 in Edgemoor, Delaware.

Troopers said Tuesday that 61-year-old Timothy Moody of Philadelphia died in the Jan. 22 incident.

Police say Moody was trying to cross the interstate when he was hit by a car. Officers say he was knocked to the ground and was hit by several other cars.

Moody was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers say some of the cars that hit him left the scene.

The incident remains under investigation.
