BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - Authorities say a 16-year-old has been charged in another teen’s shooting death.

Media outlets report that the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office issued a murder warrant for Robert Clarke following Saturday’s shooting.

Authorities say Clarke is charged in the death of 16-year-old Cameron Toles. Birmingham Police Lt. Scott Thurmond says Clarke is charged as an adult and is being held without bond in the county jail.

Police say Toles was shot around 12:30 a.m. as he and several others got out of a vehicle and were walking away. Police say when officers arrived, they found Toles on the ground. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Authorities say Clark has been jailed since Saturday pending formal charges. It’s unclear if he has an attorney.
