SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) - A Spokane accountant has been indicted by a federal grand jury on eight counts of tax fraud and evasion.

The grand jury alleges that between 2009 and 2011, Roger A. Stadtmueller failed to report more than $1.7 million in income from a corporation.

The Spokesman-Review reports the indictment also alleges he filed fraudulent personal tax returns.

Stadtmueller was released earlier this summer on $100,000 bond pending trial.

Stadtmueller faces a maximum prison term of 22 years and fines totaling more than $1 million, in addition to payment of due taxes. His trial is tentatively scheduled in February.
