LA GRANDE, Ore. (AP) - Authorities believe they have found the remains of a 27-year-old La Grande woman in a pickup truck that had crashed at the bottom of a steep ravine.

Oregon State Police says Neli Rogers was last seen June 18 driving a 1997 Ford pickup truck. She was reported missing two days later.

According to OSP, La Grande police detectives on Wednesday found the truck at the bottom of ravine just off Highway 82 east of Elgin. The truck had been totaled and the car had caught fire. Detectives found human remains inside the truck and believe they are those of Rogers.

OSP conducted a crash investigation and forensic testing is being done to positively identify the remains.

La Grande police Det. Dusty Perry has told the La Grande Observer there’s no evidence of foul play.
