CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - Laramie County firefighters contained a brush fire east of Cheyenne that grew to about half a square mile.

Laramie County Fire District spokeswoman Lori Hogan says no one was injured and no structures were damaged during the fire Wednesday afternoon.

The Wyoming Tribune Eagle reports (https://bit.ly/1QpzVmT ) firefighters were finishing putting out the blaze at about 3 p.m. The fire had been reported about three hours prior.

The Wyoming Air National Guard and firefighters from the F.E. Warren Air Force Base assisted in battling the brush fire.
