MARANA, Ariz. (AP) - Police in Marana have conducted a warrant sweep, searching for people who had active DUI warrants issued by the city’s municipal court.

They say nine people were located and booked into the Pima County Jail.

Six of the 10 warrants served totaled more than $5,600 in bond money.

Police say the other four warrants were no bond/revoked probation warrants.

It was the second warrant sweep conducted this fiscal year by Marana police.

They say there are about 125 active DUI arrest warrants issued by the Marana Municipal Court.

Last year, Marana police conducted seven DUI warrant sweeps resulting in 69 arrests and more than $150,000 in recovered bond money and fines.
