CINCINNATI (AP) - More than 500 Cincinnati students are expected to take part in a planned sing-a-long this Friday of “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

The National Underground Railroad Freedom Center along the Ohio River says students from three elementary schools will come there to sing. Students across the country are to gather at 1 p.m. for a singing of the national anthem.

The American Public Education Foundation has urged bringing students together for the event. The foundation provides free educational resources on the words, meaning and history of the U.S. national anthem.
