CINCINNATI (AP) - An Ohio woman who pleaded guilty to stealing a 58-year-old man’s wallet while he was dying of a heart attack in his Cincinnati home has been sentenced to serve five years in prison.

The Cincinnati Enquirer reports (https://cin.ci/1idYyYJ ) the April 14 theft was one of seven that 32-year-old heroin addict Jennifer Herth admitted committing in August.

Prosecutors say Carol Wood saw Herth walking by her home as her husband Barry was suffering from a heart attack.

Herth answered Wood’s call for help, came inside the house and advised she throw cold water on Barry.

When Wood left the room to get the water, Herth lifted Barry’s wallet and fled. He died later that day.

Wood says she notified police after Herth returned to her residence several times following the incident.
