ASHWAUBENON, Wis. (AP) - Authorities have released the name of a robbery suspect killed in an exchange of gunfire with Ashwaubenon police.

WLUK-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1J0H7jg ) the suspect is 25-year-old Dustin Kuik (kyke) of Two Rivers.

Police say the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Department alerted Ashwaubenon police that a suspect from a Labor Day convenience store robbery in Mishicot might be staying at a local hotel.

Three officers tried to stop Kuik’s vehicle around 1 a.m. Wednesday, but he kept going and pulled into a hotel parking lot near Lambeau Field.

Police say Kuik was shot after he refused to put down his weapon and started to enter the hotel. A woman and two children in the vehicle were uninjured.

The Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigation and Green Bay police are investigating, as required by law.
