ST. JOSEPH, La. (AP) - Tensas Parish authorities are searching for three men believed to have escaped sometime early Thursday from the Tensas Parish Detention Center.

Warden Jay Smith told The News-Star (https://tnsne.ws/1JZQDam ) it is not immediately known how the men escaped, but an investigation is ongoing.

The three inmates are Chase Courville, Christopher Newcomb and Christopher Stringer.

Courville was incarcerated for armed robbery; Newcomb was serving time for simple burglary; Stringer had two years remaining on a theft of a motor vehicle charge.
