ROCKY SPRINGS, Wyo. (AP) - The number of travelers going through the Rock Springs-Sweetwater County Airport has decreased this year after Delta Air Lines stopped service there.

According to the Rocket-Miner (https://bit.ly/1VPQo6R ), airport Manager Devon Brubaker says 24,084 travelers have gone through the airport so far this year, compared to 34,218 passengers during the same time last year.

Brubaker says the decline is attributable to Delta’s departure from the airport Jan. 31. The airline flew from Rock Springs to Salt Lake City but stopped the flights after a change in airplanes.

The only major commercial flights out of Rock Springs go to Denver via United Airlines.
