BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - The North Dakota National Guard is holding a 9/11 memorial service to honor the state’s fallen service members and their families.

The annual ceremony will be held Friday near Fraine Barracks in Bismarck, where a memorial was dedicated on Sept. 11, 2009. It honors 26 North Dakota service members who lost their lives in the global war on terrorism.

The event begins with at a social at 6:30 p.m., followed by the ceremony at 7. The public is welcome to attend.
