TEXARKANA, Ark. (AP) - Police in Arkansas say a 32-year-old man has died following a fight almost two weeks ago at a nightclub.

A Texarkana police spokeswoman says officers were called Aug. 29 to the Electric Cowboy nightclub, where they found Jon Russel, who was unconscious and suffering from an apparent head injury.

He was taken to a hospital and was in critical condition until his death Thursday. Authorities say Russel’s body has been sent to Little Rock for an autopsy.

The Texarkana Gazette (https://bit.ly/1gf3hqW ) reports that a 25-year-old was arrested on a charge of felony second-degree battery because of the injuries Russel sustained during the altercation.

Police say Russel’s death may result in changes to the charges the 25-year-old faces.
