CLAYTON, Mo. (AP) - Police in the St. Louis suburb of Clayton are investigating a bizarre finding: Several notes with racial slurs left on vehicles.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch (https://bit.ly/1LmnsvL ) reports that seven residents on Monday morning found rambling hand-written notes on the windshields of their cars. The notes had racist messages, but some were anti-black and some were anti-white.

Police suspect it was a prank by kids, or the work or someone with a mental illness.

No arrests have been made.
