CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - Two former Douglas school teachers have had separate complaints filed against them.

One former special education teacher has been accused of sexually abusing a student, while details of the second complaint have not been disclosed.

Converse County School District 1 Board Chairman Lee Igo tells the Casper Star-Tribune (https://bit.ly/1Q6qHv0 ) that complaints against the former employees were filed with the Wyoming Professional Teaching Standards Board.

Igo says the district didn’t know about any inappropriate conduct by either employee while those workers were still with the district. Further, he said district officials were not aware of the conduct at the time those employees left.

Igo said the district is reviewing its policies and procedures in order to prevent inappropriate behavior from occurring in schools.
