WASHINGTON (AP) - Dogs are about to have their day at District of Columbia pools.

City officials on Saturday will host the annual Doggie Day Swim, which gives dogs a day to play in several of the city’s pools. The city says the seventh annual Doggie Day Swim will take place from noon to 4 p.m. at three pools: Upshur Main & Kiddie Pool, Francis Pool and Randall Pool.

Admission is free, but all dogs must have a valid, Department of Health-issued District of Columbia dog license to enter the pool.
