NEW YORK (AP) - New York City police are investigating after the body of a woman was found inside the trunk of a car in Queens.

The victim was discovered around 8:30 p.m. Thursday inside the car parked near 22nd Avenue and Murray Street in Flushing.

Police say she had stab wounds about the body and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police responded after receiving a call about a suspicious vehicle. They say a foul odor was emanating from the trunk.

The NYPD says it’s looking for a 30-year old Queens man in connection with the homicide.

They say Luis Zambrano was last seen driving the car found parked near his residence.

It wasn’t immediately clear if he had a lawyer who could comment on the allegations on his behalf.
