BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - A Buffalo school teacher has enlisted the help of Pro Football Hall of Famer Andre Reed for a children’s book she wrote about perseverance.

On Friday, the former Buffalo Bill is scheduled to read the book to Buffalo schoolchildren.

Special education teacher Roselyn Kasmire says the inspiration for her books comes from the issues her students face every day. She says Reed agreed to be a part of a story she wrote about not giving up.

Reed will read “Billy Buffalo’s Big Catch” to students in kindergarten through second grade at D’Youville-Porter School at 9:30 a.m.
