TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Television journalist Geraldo Rivera and his wife have donated $500,000 for the construction of the Greek Heritage Park at the University of Arizona.

The park will be built near First Street and Cherry Avenue in Tucson will serve as a functional center in the heart of the Greek Village for chapter and community events, fund development and donor recognition.

The space will honor more than 50,000 UofA Greek alumni and the 90 organizations that have been a part of the school’s community since 1915.

Rivera graduated from the UofA in 1965.

He’s a 2015 recipient of the Order of Omega Greek Hall of Fame Award.
