BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - A man accused of assaulting a wheelchair-bound Vietnam veteran has been bound over for trial in Boulder District Court on multiple charges including a bias-motivated crime.

The Daily Camera reports (https://bit.ly/1iBdNuH ) that the man is also charged with three counts of second-degree assault against an at risk victim, criminal mischief, third-degree assault, neglect of an at-risk victim and criminal negligence of an at-risk victim for the July incident in Lafayette.

Police say the suspect assaulted the veteran, taunted him for being crippled and broke umbrellas attached to his wheelchair.

The suspect is due back in court Sept. 30.
