TEXARKANA, Ark. (AP) - A Texas man has been sentenced to 50 years in an Arkansas prison in the burglary of a judge’s house last year.

The Texarkana Gazette (https://bit.ly/1Kf8HyC ) reports that Circuit Judge Kirk Johnson says his wife no longer feels safe in their Texarkana, Arkansas, home after jewelry that had been in her family was stolen in March 2014.

A Miller County jury in Arkansas sentenced 42-year-old Lawrence Dale Hubbard, of Houston, on Thursday.

Hubbard and two others, 35-year-old Willie Powell and 26-year-old Lamarcus Lavigne, were accused of breaking into several residences near the Texas-Arkansas border.

Powell and Lavigne each pleaded guilty in November 2014 to four counts of burglary in Bowie County, Texas, and they are serving 16-year terms in that state.
