BOSTON (AP) - A Cape Cod man described by prosecutors as a “violent” drug dealer has been sentenced to more than 20 years in prison for robbing two oxycodone dealers and other narcotics crimes.

Francisco “Cisco” Monteiro was sentenced Wednesday in federal court in Boston.

Prosecutors say a jury convicted him in April 2014 of distributing heroin and a drug robbery, among other charges.

Authorities say Monteiro, of Bourne, was a long-time South Coast drug trafficker who robbed drug dealers and then sold their drugs.

The jury heard testimony about a 2011 robbery, in which Monteiro and several other men lured two large-scale Cape Cod OxyContin dealers to a meeting. The men thought they were buying 15,000 pills, but were robbed of $225,000 instead.
