OXFORD, Ohio (AP) - Three fraternities at Miami University in Ohio have been disciplined for hazing rituals and conduct violations.

The Hamilton-Middletown Journal-News reports (https://bit.ly/1XSPrNg ) that the three are no longer recognized at the school in Oxford.

The newspaper obtained university records on investigations into allegations such as that members in one fraternity forced pledges to tally with markers on their chest how many beers they drank, with a goal of 100.

School officials say new members in another fraternity had to participate in hours-long predawn workouts.

Fraternity and school officials say the discipline shows that the university won’t stand for hazing. Miami has more than 40 Greek organizations.
