JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) - Communities throughout New Jersey are remembering the 14th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks with words and deeds.

Gov. Chris Christie attends ceremonies at ground zero in New York honoring the nearly 3,000 people killed in the terror strike. Nearly 750 were New Jersey residents.

Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno attends a Port Authority of New York & New Jersey memorial.

Emergency responders in Jersey City are holding a blood drive along the Hudson River, across from where the World Trade Center towers once stood.

Medical equipment manufacturer Stryker Corp. in Mahwah is assembling care packages for troops deployed overseas.

Former state and national “Miss America” pageant winners will perform during the Miss America Organization’s “Miss America 9/11 Military Tribute Concert” in Atlantic City.
