PASCO, Wash. (AP) - Cars honked and drivers waved as demonstrators waved signs in Pasco on the seven-month anniversary of the shooting death of Antonio Zambrano-Montes.

Demonstrators gathered on Thursday night, as they have each month since the Mexican orchard worker was killed by police on Feb. 10.

About 20 people chanted “it was just a rock” near where Zambrano-Montes was shot while throwing rocks at police.

On Wednesday, the Franklin County prosecutor announced that no charges would be filed against the three police officers who fired at Zambrano-Montes.

The Tri-City Herald reports organizers say they expect a larger crowd to gather Saturday afternoon for another rally outside the Franklin County Courthouse.
