WOODBURN, Ore. (AP) - Woodburn police arrested a woman accused of stealing more than $8,000 from a youth baseball organization.

The investigation began when the Mid-Valley Youth Baseball Association reported that money was missing from two bank accounts. Police say the investigation led detectives to the treasurer, Julia Harmon.

City of Woodburn spokesman Jason Horton says the 47-year-old Harmon was cited for theft Wednesday after she admitted taking the money.

Police believe the thefts began in January.
