BROWNSTOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - The Michigan Department of Natural Resources says an annual waterfowl festival is returning to Pointe Mouillee State Game Area in southeastern Michigan.

The 68th annual festival will be held Sept. 19 and 20 in Brownstown Township. Festival admission is free, and all ages are welcome.

Events and activities during the festival include the Michigan Duck Hunters’ Tournament, a wildlife art show and duck-decoy carving. Attendees can also bring dogs to take part in a dock-jumping contest, and kids’ activities include a slingshot contest and an archery shoot.

Proceeds from the festival will go toward wetland restoration and habitat improvement at the game area.
