OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Warm temperatures, dry conditions and gusty winds are fanning grass fires across central Oklahoma.

Officials say firefighters battled grass fires Monday near Oklahoma Highway 74 near Cashion and in the Deer Creek area near Edmond north of Oklahoma City.

Firefighters in Cashion says they were alerted to a grass fire about 2:30 p.m. Officials say no structures have been damaged, and the fire has been contained to about 200 acres of farmland. Firefighters say that while part of the fire is contained, other areas continue to burn and have reached cedar trees in the area.

Firefighters also battled a grass fire in the Deer Creek area. Officials say crews from Deer Creek, Edmond and Guthrie have responded to the fire.
