ABERDEEN TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say a man was found shot to death in a central New Jersey parking lot.
But a motive for the slaying of 22-year-old William Karecki remains under investigation.
Monmouth County prosecutors say the Old Bridge Township man was found around 9:45 p.m. Sunday by Aberdeen Township police. They were responding to a 911 call about a shooting in the parking lot off Ocean Boulevard, which is not far from Karecki’s home.
Karecki had been shot several times and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Further details about the shooting have not been disclosed, including what type of weapon was used or how many shooters may have been involved.
The shooting remains under investigation. No arrests have been made at this time.
