SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - Runners from South Dakota and Missouri took top honors at the Sioux Falls Marathon.
Mitchell resident and Sioux Falls native Thomas Madut won the men’s race Sunday with a time of just under 2 hours and 39 minutes. He also won the city’s inaugural marathon in 2010.
Hellois Scheeres, of Moberly, Missouri, won the women’s race with a time of just over 3 hours and 22 minutes.
The event also included a half marathon and attracted thousands of runners. It raises money for the Children’s Miracle Network and Sanford Children’s Hospital.
