SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - A week of warm, dry weather in South Dakota has advanced the maturity of crops including corn and soybeans.

The Agriculture Department says in its weekly crop report that the favorable weather also helped with winter wheat seeding. Twenty-two percent of the crop is in the ground, compared with 13 percent at the same time last year and 15 percent on average.

The barley harvest is virtually done, at 99 percent complete.

Pasture and range conditions in South Dakota are rated 57 percent good to excellent. Stock water supplies are 77 percent adequate to surplus.
