SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) - The trial of a man charged in a 2013 strangulation death in Branson will be heard in Greene County.

Twenty-seven-year-old Sean Roberson is charged with first-degree murder in the death of 18-year-old Andros Valentin-Vargas. Investigators say Valentin-Vargas was found dead in a bathtub in his brother’s Branson apartment in March 2013. He had strangulation mark on his neck and cuts on his body.

Police say the victim’s brother found Roberson in the apartment holding a knife.

Roberson fled and was eventually arrested at Lake Taneycomo.

The Springfield News-Leader reports (https://sgfnow.co/1KgwoVP ) a change of venue motion was filed in August of 2013 but was not granted until Sept. 11 of this year.

Roberson was transferred to Greene County Jail on Sept. 14. His trial is scheduled to start Sept. 28.
