BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Baton Rouge Community College police have arrested an 18-year-old student after they found two knives hidden under the trench coat he was wearing.
According at an arrest affidavit, a campus officer noticed Johann Joseph Looney walking around Tuesday in a long, dark tan coat in warm weather, estimated at 80 degrees.
Police tell The Advocate (https://bit.ly/1KrV535) Looney was stopped when he exited the student center.
With his trench coat off, police say Looney displayed a large knife poking out of the side of his pants. After Looney was handcuffed, officers say they discovered a small knife tucked into his clothing.
Looney, of St. Francisville, was booked with carrying a dangerous weapon by a student on school property.
Online jail records do not list an attorney for Looney.
