BROCKTON, Mass. (AP) - Brockton police have charged 10- and 11-year-old boys they say broke into a home to steal a video game console, but were trapped in the bathroom by a resident.

Police received a call on Tuesday from a woman who said two kids broke into her house.

Lt. Kenneth LeGrice tells The Enterprise (https://bit.ly/1OyBy2I ) the kids removed a screen and crawled through the bathroom window. The woman saw them and held the bathroom door shut until her son arrived.

Her son sat the kids on a couch to wait for police.

Police think the same youths broke into the same home days earlier, but didn’t get away with anything.

The boys were charged with felony breaking and entering. They were released to their parents pending a summons to appear in court.
