Businessman and GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump said Thursday that he doesn’t consider climate change to be a big problem at all, calling it “weather changes.”

“I consider climate change to be not one of our big problems — I consider it to be not a big problem at all,” Mr. Trump said via phone on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.” “I think it’s weather. I think it’s weather changes. It could be some man-made something, but you know, if you look at China they’re doing nothing about it. Other countries, they’re doing nothing about it. It’s a big planet.”

The issue had come up at Wednesday’s GOP presidential debate in California.

“The big problem we have is nuclear climate change,” Mr. Trump said. “That’s what our climate change is and that’s our problem. I’m a little surprised Putin is doing it. I don’t think Putin’s a believer at all.”
