RENO, Nev. (AP) - Two people were injured in a fire at an apartment building in Reno, including a firefighter who suffered minor burns to his hand while battling the early morning blaze just west of downtown.

Crews were called about 5 a.m. Friday to the fire that spread from the first floor to the second story of the Stone Creek Apartments on Second Street.

KRNV-TV reports (https://tinyurl.com/nn3cog4) one man who was pulled from the building and taken down a ladder was sent to Renown Medical Center for treatment of minor burns to his face and possible smoke inhalation.

The Red Cross is working with several residents who have been displaced by the fire. The cause remains under investigation.
