CAMDEN, Maine (AP) - The Camden International Film Festival’s four-day celebration of documentary filmmaking is underway in mid-coast Maine.

The 11th annual festival began on Thursday and runs through Sunday. It will include more than 60 feature and short films from around the world. Organizers say this year’s festival features more international movies than any previous year.

This year’s festival also includes a program of historic films, with support from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Event founder and executive director Ben Fowlie says this year’s lineup showcases how documentary film is “thriving and continuously evolving.”

The festival takes place in Camden, Rockport and Rockland.
