KERSEY, Colo. (AP) - Fire crews are fighting a large grass fire burning in northeastern Colorado.

The Greeley Tribune reports (https://goo.gl/5cepxz ) the fire has burned about 4,700 acres on what appears to be open land on the plains east of Kersey. The Platte Valley Fire District says no structures are threatened, and the blaze was about 10 percent contained Friday afternoon.

Aircraft are also being used to help stop the fire.

The blaze, which was reported just after 10 a.m. Friday, forced the temporary closure of Interstate 76 in both directions.

No injuries have been reported.
