RENO, Nev. (AP) - Reno police are investigating the killing of two elderly people found dead of gunshot wounds in a residence on the city’s northwest side.

Few details have been released but police say they do not believe a killer is on the loose.

A firearm was recovered at the scene after officers were called to the 1500 block of Sky Valley Driver about 8:20 p.m. Thursday.

The victims were identified Friday as 71-year-old Marcia James and 84-year-old William Goodman.

Detectives say a preliminary investigation indicates they lived in the same building and may have been involved in a relationship. They say the investigation is continuing but that no other suspects are being sought at this time.

Anyone with information should call Reno police at 775-334-2115 or Secret Witness at 775-322-4900.
