SEABROOK, S.C. (AP) - Beaufort County sheriff’s deputies are investigating after a horse was found shot to death earlier this week in the Seabrook community.

Authorities tell local media outlets that the horse was found Tuesday afternoon. It was tied to a tree.

Deputies say they have interviewed the owner of the horse but the investigation continues and no charges have been filed.

Authorities say they think the horse was shot somewhere else then brought to the location where it was found.
