BOISE, Idaho (AP) - Financial auditors say they did not find any red flags while scrutinizing Idaho’s online health insurance marketplace.

The annual audit - conducted by an independent firm - was approved by Your Health Idaho board members on Friday.

One finding noted that the exchange missed a federal deadline in submitting a progress report. However, officials resolved the issue by hiring more staff and adopting new policies to make sure deadlines are met.

Idaho’s high marks in this year’s audit stands out against other states that have failed to become financially sustainably and have gone back to using the federal exchange.

State law prohibits Idaho lawmakers from allocating state taxpayer money to help pay to keep the exchange running. Instead, assessment fees are the only revenue the exchange has to survive.
