GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) - A jury has convicted a man of first-degree murder in the stabbing death of a 50-year-old man who allowed his killer and others into his western Michigan home to keep warm while drinking beer.

The Grand Rapids Press reports (https://bit.ly/1iVPYh9 ) that Roger Davis also was found guilty Friday of robbery and arson.

Richard Priebe was stabbed and set on fire last November in his Byron Township home, near Grand Rapids. His wallet, debit card and checkbook were taken.

Davis testified Friday and accused co-defendant John Liebek of stabbing Priebe.

The newspaper reports that Liebek admitted to robbery and took a plea deal last week. Davis’s girlfriend, Angie Smith, faces trial Oct. 5.

Davis will be sentenced Oct. 15 to life in prison without parole.
