COMMACK, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say a Long Island high school’s computer system containing class schedule and student identification data has been hacked.

The Commack school district said in a statement on its website that an unauthorized person breached the system Thursday night. But it says there was no evidence that any specific student information was downloaded.

Newsday (https://nwsdy.li/1Mgi8wW ) reports that the district believes the breach applies to a very limited number of high school student records.

Suffolk County police say they have a suspect but did not release additional information.
